This course aims to introduce students to a study of the fight against corruption and transparency in terms of civil public ethics and international law, including a study of the situation in some Latin American countries. is.

Thecourse consists of 6 units. First, some basic conceptual concepts are presented, with an emphasis on the concept of citizenship. The second unit deals with the rules of public ethics and international law governing the fight against corruption and transparency. In the third unit, corruption is related to specific areas such as academic research, its presence in some industries and political activities.
The fourth unit introduces several international and Chilean organizations created by the state and civil society to combat corruption. The fifth unit deals with the main means of preventing, managing and punishing corruption. Finally, the sixth unit investigates the situation of corruption in some Latin American countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
Thecourse consists of 32 classes, each of which lasts about 10 minutes. There is also a quiz or exam after each class to enhance the content. We estimate that it will take a total of about 7 hours to complete the entire course (see all classes and answer all quizzes). The course is spoken in Spanish and subtitles, transcripts, quizzes and additional material are written in Spanish. There is no time limit to complete.
