JDBC is used to develop database applications in Java. JDBC is widely used in industrial projects for database connectivity. This course is intended for anyone with a basic knowledge of core Java concepts and a basic knowledge of SQL statements. This course may not be suitable for students/programmers who are not familiar with Java or SQL.

This course teaches all the core JDBC basics concepts and also teaches you how to write database applications in Java using JDBC programming. All concepts are explained in very simple language. This course is a very practical foundation with few PowerPoint presentations. The focus of this course is closer to practice than theory. This course will cover everything from basic SQL operations such as insert, update, and delete to complex topics such as calling stored procedures, storing and retrieving images and files, transactions, and more.

In addition to demonstrating key JDBC concepts, there is also a mini-project, a CRUD application, at the end of this course. A CRUD application is essentially a database application that performs basic operations such as Create/Insert(C), Read(R), Update(U), Delete(D). This CRUD application provides a detailed understanding of all JDBC fundamentals.
