Create Your Own Automated Stock Trading Robot In EXCEL! Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to build transaction automation with Excel, the most popular spreadsheet software on the market. In Excel, there are no restrictions on what you can create. You are limited only by your imagination! This course is built around learning Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and considers a simplified version of the system built for trading called Ranger 1.0. We will use this system as an example to show you how to build your own automation. All students can download a copy of Ranger 1.0 for their own use. After completing the course, you will be able to understand the code that runs Ranger 1.0 and customize it to your ideas. You can also use what you have learned to build your own automated system from scratch.
The focus of this course is on stock trading. It is possible to trade futures, currencies, options and bonds via Ranger 1.0, but examples of these trading methods are not explained in detail. However, after completing this course, you will have a good knowledge of Visual Basic and will be able to create your own custom automations and trade as you like.
The sky is the limit! With Excel, you can create almost anything you can imagine. In this course, you can get started with Visual Basic even if you haven't written any code before. Learn how to automate the life cycle of your order, create timers, play sounds, record live data, do backtesting, and even build decision-making AI!
Finally, everything you need to know to set up an account with Interactive Brokers, how to set up the Excel API, and how to trade using a simulated "Paper" trading account. I will explain. You need an Interactive Brokers account to receive livestreaming data and send orders, but if you don't have an account, here's how to get Excel historical data that you can immediately backtest.
