An Introduction to Creating Realistic Materials in UE4 Course Description
This "Unreal Engine 4 Materials" course gives you a complete understanding of creating materials within the UE4 engine. Starting with the basics, understanding the interface, and understanding the different types of material is what we will discuss in Volume 1. It also describes the types of materials that can be created using the engine. To learn what physics-based materials are, we'll give you an overview of PBR materials.
We will also discuss material blends and domains and see the differences between them. Next, let's take a look at the shading model created during the course. The final part of Volume 1 is a more intermediate level of creating computer screen materials and even material functions using various components. Volume 2 deals only with materials. Here, we will first review the creation of a basic skin shader and understand what surface scattering is. The second material will be an automotive material that uses a clearcoat model and considers creating material attributes. Next, create an ocean shader, and finally create a slightly more advanced material. Now create dynamic materials with features like weather such as snow, rain, and dryness.
